Backyard Paver Patio with Seat Wall in Wallingford, CT
A large, L-shaped paver patio across the back of the house, with steps down from the sliding door and a built-in seat wall at the corner.
The project
What we built
The patio wraps the back of the home and steps down from the sliding door, so it feels like an extension of the kitchen rather than a separate space.
A seat wall at the outer corner adds permanent seating without crowding the patio with furniture, and a dark border outlines the whole shape against the lawn.
Built on an excavated, compacted base, the patio is designed to stay flat and drain properly through Connecticut freeze-thaw winters.
